Chaos Scans are complex materials made simple. Instead of manually creating materials, take advantage of 1000’s of ready to use materials that have been scanned to perfection. These are ready to be applied to 3D visualisations in 3ds Max, Maya, Rhino, SketchUp, Revit, Cinema 4D, Modo and Houdini. The growing collection includes samples of car paint, fabric, leather, wood, plastic, metal and more.

Chaos Scan is a workstation (1 GUI + 1 Render Node) license that allows a user to load and render scanned materials. Licenses are available as monthly or annual rentals.

GPU Support
Chaos Scans are compatible with V-Ray GPU for improved flexibility and performance.

Volumetric Translucency
Chaos Scans materials can now capture translucency in volumetric materials with varying thickness.

Physically Accurate
Created from thousands of images, Chaos Scans capture a material’s bidirectional texture function (BTF), recreating a material’s true surface appearance and response to light.
